Lead Forward: Setting Your 90-Day Vision with Clarity

The second half of the year doesn’t need to start with a sprint.
It needs to start with clarity.

And clarity isn’t found in a full calendar or a long to-do list.
It’s found in focused vision.

As we close out June and step into Q3, this is your opportunity to pause and ask:
What do I want the next 90 days to look like and why?

The next three months will pass no matter what.
The question is: Will they pass by design or by default?

Here’s a step-by-step framework to create a clear, aligned, and actionable 90-day vision for your leadership and your life.

And if you’re ready for a guided journey through this process with structure, coaching, and accountability, my 12-week coaching program The Clarity Code was designed exactly for this kind of transformation.

Step 1: Reflect Before You Project

Before you look ahead, take a moment to look behind.

Ask yourself:

  • What worked well in the last 90 days?
  • Where did I struggle or drift?
  • What habits supported my energy and clarity?
  • What decisions do I wish I had made sooner?

Reflection is how we build wisdom.
Wisdom is how we lead better.

Action Tip:
Schedule 30 minutes to reflect and journal on these questions.
Clarity begins with honest data.

Step 2: Choose One Theme for the Quarter

A theme is a unifying anchor. It gives your decisions and actions a filter.

Instead of a laundry list of goals, ask:

  • What do I want to embody this quarter?
  • What’s the energy I want to bring into my leadership?
  • What mindset shift do I most need?

Examples:

  • Steady
  • Build
  • Focus
  • Discern
  • Expand
  • Simplify

Action Tip:
Write your Q3 theme on a sticky note, journal page, or phone wallpaper.
Let it guide your choices more than your task list.

Step 3: Set 2-3 Aligned Outcomes

Don’t try to do everything.
Clarity thrives in constraint.

Choose a few high-leverage, aligned outcomes that reflect your theme.

Ask:

  • What outcomes would feel like real progress?
  • What results would move the needle?
  • What will matter most in 90 days?

Action Tip:
Write your top 2-3 outcomes for the quarter.
Ensure they align with both your values and vision, not just your obligations.

This is exactly the kind of work we do in The Clarity Code. You don’t have to navigate it alone. My 12-week coaching program provides a proven path to define, refine, and achieve your most meaningful goals and I have a new cohort starting September 1.

Step 4: Identify Your Leadership Commitments

Outcomes are the “what.”
But progress depends on the “how.”

What are the key behaviors, mindsets, or boundaries you need to commit to in order to lead intentionally?

Examples:

  • Weekly CEO time
  • Saying no to unaligned opportunities
  • Delegating more
  • Ending the workday by 6 p.m.
  • Daily presence check-in

Action Tip:
List 2-3 leadership commitments that will support your outcomes and your well-being.
Post them somewhere visible.

Step 5: Design for Accountability

The biggest gap between clarity and action? Follow-through.

Who will help you stay aligned with what you say matters?

Ask yourself:

  • Who can I share my 90-day vision with?
  • How will I check in on my progress?
  • What support or systems do I need?

Clarity loves accountability.
It’s not about pressure, it’s about partnership.

Action Tip:
Send your 90-day vision to a coach, peer, mentor, or trusted colleague.
Ask them to check in with you once a month.
Offer to do the same for them.

In The Clarity Code, you’ll gain a partner in that process. With weekly support, guided strategy, and honest reflection, you’ll walk into each quarter clearer, calmer, and more focused.

Final Thought: The Next 90 Days Are Yours to Design

You don’t need more hustle.
You need more clarity.

The third quarter is a blank canvas.
Lead it on purpose.

Set your theme.
Choose your outcomes.
Live your commitments.

Then go lead from vision, not reaction. And if you’d like help doing that in a structured, supported way, let’s talk about The Clarity Code.
Because you deserve a reset that sticks.
